This extinguisher is most suitable for ABC Class Fires. Used for fires involving wood, paper, plastic, flammable & combustible liquids but not cooking oils or fats, also can be used for flammable gases and electrical equipment (click info for details).

The type of extinguisher used is crucial to the type of fire attacked. The ABE extinguisher is a good all rounder (not suitable for cooking fires), ideal for the home. This unit can be used to protect the home from the inside as a fire front passes. As well this is an excellent unit to have on hand for general house fires. This is a reasonable size unit with capacity to handle a few fires or a larger one with ease. There are smaller units available but practically speaking they are little more than a security blanket.
