Used for fires involving wood, fabric, paper and plastics (A Class Fires). Warning: dangerous to use on flammable liquid, electrical equipment/eletrical fires, cooking oil/fat fires.

The main reason we supply this unit is for protection inside the home as a fire front passes. Also it can be placed in the roof cavity to defend against embers/spot fires (due to weight, insure it is properly supported or it could damage the ceiling). It would protect timber, drapes and other soft furnishings inside the home, position in the home on the side the fire front is most likely to approach from. Embers can easily penetrate most window frames; some first hand accounts in bushfire/wildfire situations have described embers "pouring in as if the windows were open".
