The P2 mask is recommended by the CFA and other Rural Fire Authorities to filter bushfire / wildfire smoke. These one-size-fits-all P2 masks come in a box of 10, are high quality and meet required Australian standards (Proper fit must be ensured, please follow instructions). They are equipped with a breathing valve for easier breathing out, thus preventing build-up of moisture and heat from expelled air inside the mask.

Warning: will not protect you from fires in enclosed spaces or smoke from burning man made materials.

The high level of smoke associated with bushfires / wildfires makes breathing difficult and threatening to health. It is a good idea to have spare masks as they are vulnerable to damage and may need replacement depending on conditions. We believe that even if your plan is to leave early, P2 masks are personal protection equipment you should consider for yourself and family. These masks are exceptionally good value, and may be used as well for many jobs around the property. To date we have not found a P2 mask designed specifically for children.  However you may shorten the straps for small children by tying the elastic bands with a basic knot.  If you are purchasing P2 masks for children, we recommend a flat fold as they form to a child's face better.  You must ensure a good fit.  The 3M flat fold is perhaps the best.
